… AND WE’RE BACK!👋
GETTING CREATIVE WITH AUDIO….SKILLS.
Last month we worked with the wonderful team at AudioSkills to create a bespoke radio ad using 3D binaural SFX for Coop Travel’s GET MORE campaign which played out on Heart FM.
Binaural recordings take audio to a whole new level by mimicking the human skull and recording sound exactly like our ears would hear it, allowing listeners to not only picture the scene, but feel as though they are in it. Audio Skills have created binaural soundscapes from families at the beach to surreal cat cafes, picnics in the park to creepy torture scenes…and everything in between. The possibilities are endless!

IT’S TIME TO WISE UP!
A couple of the Brazil Street team attended the second ITV Planners’ forum – an insightful session which gave us the opportunity to share ideas, insight, get inspired and chew the fat on important topics! This ‘Wise Up’ session delved into how brands can better connect with later life audiences.
When older people appear in ads, too often brands show them as stereotypes and objects of pity. They miss the complex realities – and the many joys – of getting older. So how do you get it right?
1. Lean into the excitement, energy and timeless cool of the moments older people have experienced.
2. Celebrating friendship – rather than focusing only on loneliness – is a winning path for advertisers
3. Ditch the misconception that older people can’t navigate the modern world. Show them as quick-witted and successful
4. Recognise older means wiser and celebrate those experiences
5. Emphasise ties to wider society – that can mean family, but also friends, neighbours and whole communities
6. Celebrities are a welcome sight but they have to earn their place, and that means entertaining

THREE NEWBIES JOIN THE TEAM!
We’re super-delighted to welcome three new starters to the Brazil Street fam; Will Challoner, Lydia Humble and Lily Shore. If you’re eager to know more about them, then look no further!
Will – Senior Account Director
Having joined Brazil Street in November, it’s been a really rewarding experience so far facing new challenges and building new relationships. The team have been really welcoming and I feel part of the furniture already. Having been at Mediacom for over 8 years, I bring a wealth of experience planning and buying media on various accounts taking the strategic lead and proposing new and innovative ideas. I’m really proud to be a part of the Brazil Street team, contributing to the continued success of the agency. In my spare time I love being outdoors whether that’s on the bike or hiking in the hills. I’m football mad so at the weekends you’ll probably find me at Old Trafford!
Lydia – Account Executive
After graduating in Advertising and Brand Management at MMU last year, I was determined to start my career in the industry that I love. Luckily, I landed myself a job at Brazil Street as an Account Executive and I’m loving every minute of it. Working with such a supportive team has been brilliant. I thoroughly enjoy working with our clients, as well as learning all about the world of media planning and buying, striving to provide excellent results. In my spare time you’ll find me spending time with friends and family, going out for food and drinks, or sat in watching a great film. My main interests include snowboarding, travelling, films and photography.
Lily – Media Assistant
Before joining Brazil Street, I was studying photography at Trafford College whist working part time in various retail roles. During the pandemic, I joined a ‘Women’s Empowerment Group’ which led me to find interest in the advertising world which resulted in me becoming the new Media Assistant at Brazil Street. In the short space of time I’ve been here, I’ve learnt so much about the world of advertising and our lovely clients. In my spare time you’ll usually find me on the Welsh coast in Trearddur Bay taking lots of photographs or at the ice rink in Altrincham.
