And just like that, Q2 is a wrap! It’s been a fast-paced and exciting first half of the year here at Brazil Street—with big wins and some brilliant work that’s really made an impact. We like to share and celebrate our client’s successes and last month it was announced that Optegra had been acquired by EssilorLuxottica. This is the start of an exciting next chapter for Optegra, backed by a global vision care leader, and we’re very much looking forward to supporting their future growth.

Optegra – Premium Digital Display

Optegra offer 5 star vision correction treatment and are longstanding print advertisers, investing in premium newspapers and magazines. We believed that the growth of digital subscription to premium news brands was an opportunity for Optegra. So we secured matched funding from news brands, free creative builds and an audience brand tracking study. After an initial test campaign – exclusively with premium news publishers – it has become an incremental and always-on channel for Optegra.

I started at Brazil Street in April and I jumped straight into my new role as Paid Social Director. I have spent the last few months getting to know our brilliant clients and figuring out where they are on their paid social journey. Each client brings a different level of knowledge, and I have loved sharing my experience to help them get the most out of the channel. I’ve been identifying opportunities to optimise current activity whilst exploring how we can innovate, test and grow. One area I am keen to focus on is how we track and measure performance, working to find smarter, more resilient ways to capture key actions so we can futureproof our campaigns and increase ROI.

ITV Showcase

Always a popular event, this year with a special sparkle as ITV celebrates it’s 70th birthday!

Punk poet, Dr John Cooper Clark, kicked off with a poem asking – Where Would We Be Without ITV?

Inventing UK TV advertising, 65 years ago, ThinkBox joined ITV to show seven ways creativity was used to develop beautiful, emotional, memorable TV advertising, and drive effectiveness for brands big and small!

ITV then launched three innovations; ITV YouTube – accessing hard-to-reach audiences and expanding reach , ITV Outcomes Planner – a forecasting tool to measure expected business outcomes based on AV plans, and, ITVx LeadGen Ads – Closing the loop from impressions to email requests. Travel Insight

Last month, we pulled together a travel insight piece, which included numerous sources of credible travel insight, from real-world client testimonies, credible travel research and consumer confidence reports. We also looked at relevant google trends specific to each of our travel clients.

Our key takeaway was that squeezed and nervous consumers have a pessimistic outlook on their future finances. They seem to be downgrading or delaying their holiday purchases. We have clients who sell ‘top up holidays’ such as UK Breaks and they are witnessing customers skipping the holiday all together. There are some shoots of recovery in the data however, and most sources seem to point towards a super-lates market emerging after an elongated late Easter. The challenge is incentivising customers to take the plunge, for example with low deposits and FOMO.

71% agree “I am completely absorbed into the story when I watch a film at the cinema”
60% agree watching a film at the cinema gives them something to talk about with family & friends.

Last year, Karndean experienced a notable uplift from their cinema campaign, with awareness, consideration, and performance all increasing by over 3%. Something we’ve been working on in the background recently is our brand tracking offering. We think now is the time for every client to think about it and how it can really add value to your business, considering the total performance view. Alongside the performance tracking we do for most of our clients, we are now offering brand tracking in conjunction with YouGov. We were hoping to hold an event to explain this in more detail, but having given it further thought – we think it’s more beneficial to reach out individually to create bespoke proposals for each of you.

We are very excited to be hiring for a brand-new role at Brazil Street Towers – in the form of a Data Analyst. This role is new to the agency, but one we feel is absolutely needed & will be hugely beneficial across the board. We’re hoping to be in a position to move on this fairly quickly and have a number of amazing candidates to get through.
